01 — The Club
Team 91 Carolina is boys' and girls' lacrosse for families across Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary and Apex — built on teaching first. It starts with a four-year-old holding a stick for the first time and, for the players who want it, it ends on a college roster.

02 — The Mission
Team 91 was started with one thing in mind: an unparalleled level of teaching — the kind you do not find in most travel organizations.
The Carolina mission runs in two parts, and both of them are about instruction. It begins at the youth level, where the work is fundamentals and lacrosse IQ — stick skills a player keeps for life, and the ability to actually read a field. It feeds into the high school program, where college exposure and games against the best teams in the country become the point.
That order matters. Plenty of clubs sell a schedule. We would rather sell the coaching that makes the schedule worth playing — the best staff we can assemble at every age level, coaches with real backgrounds in the game who understand that a nine-year-old and a junior need entirely different things from a Tuesday practice.
This is a club for the area's most committed players: the ones who want to be the best lacrosse player and the best student-athlete they can be. It is also, deliberately, a club with a front door for beginners — our rec leagues and our learn-to-play sessions are open to any family in the Triangle, whether or not your child ever tries out for a travel team.

03 — The Pathway
A four-year-old picking up a stick and a junior with a list of twenty target schools need completely different things. Here is the whole ladder, in order, so you can find the one rung that fits right now.
Boys & girls, ages 4–10 · No experience needed
The front door. One hour on a Saturday morning at NetSports, learning to scoop, catch, pass and shoot through games rather than drills. Every stick and every piece of protective gear is provided — bring athletic clothes, shoes and water. Come to one session or all four.
Girls K–8 · Boys grades 1–6 · All levels welcome
Our Girls Spring Rec League runs four divisions from kindergarten through eighth grade, with a custom jersey for every player and two practices a week that become one practice and one game once the season starts. Boys' community rec runs through Carolina Rivals. Your player does not have to be in the Team 91 travel program to join.
Express (girls, rising 2–11) · Rage in the Cage (boys, grades 2–10)
More touches, more decisions, more reps. Rage in the Cage is 5-v-5 indoors at NetSports on a 50 × 30 surface with certified officials and four guaranteed games. Express is the girls' equivalent on Thursday nights, capped at 24 players per division. Full-time goalies play free.
Boys grades 6–8 · Previous club experience required
The bridge to high school. A combine, a player draft into four teams of sixteen, then five full-field games under NFHS high school rules with standings and player stats. Capped at 64 players, all at Pleasant Park in Apex. Siblings are placed together.
Girls 2027 → Futures · Boys 2028 → 2038, plus Prep & Varsity
The travel program: a team at nearly every graduation year, practicing Sundays plus one weeknight, competing on the regional and national circuits. Winter adds box lacrosse for grades 3–12 — custom jerseys, a two-day training camp and two championship events. Roster spots start at the evaluation camp.
Invitation and tryout · High school ages
What comes after making a Carolina roster. Team 91 South gathers the best players in the Southeast; Team 91 National pulls athletes from every Team 91 region in the country — and our own boys director sits among its directors. Selection is by recommendation from your club director.

The high school years
Charlotte Jackson went to Louisville. Hayden Miller went to Vanderbilt. Both of them now help run practices for our 2029 girls — which is the clearest answer we have to what the club is actually for. The pathway isn't a diagram. It's people who came through it and came back.

06 — Practicalities
Six venues, all inside a twenty-minute radius of Cary and Apex. Worth knowing before you commit a season of weekends.
