Team 91 Carolina was built around one idea: an unparalleled level of teaching. We develop fundamentals and lacrosse IQ at the youth level, then carry players into high school where real college exposure is waiting.

Our rec and development programs are open to everyone in the Triangle — no Team 91 affiliation required. Our club teams are for players ready to commit to a full year, and every one of them is picked at an evaluation camp.

Travel lacrosse, by graduation year

Year-round grad-year teams for boys and girls, with a schedule that reaches further up the coast as players get older. Tryouts run each summer; a spot carries through the following summer.

Community lacrosse on Triangle fields, built for new and experienced athletes alike. Players do not have to be part of the Team 91 Carolina travel program.

Player development

More touches, more decisions

Short-commitment, small-sided programs at NetSports in Morrisville. Register individually, come for four weeks, leave a better player. Full-time goalies play free in select leagues.

The honest answer, laid out end to end. Every rung is a real Team 91 Carolina program. You can enter at any of them, and you never have to guess what comes next.

Owning it does not mean doing it alone.

That line above is the club's own, and we mean it. Here is the part we are responsible for.

  • The events college coaches attend

    Team 91 is a founding member of the National Lacrosse Federation, and Carolina teams compete on that circuit. Our girls teams play the IWLCA recruiting events — Southeast Cup, Champions Cup, Debut, Presidents Cup. The club's own claim: the only club in Carolina with this level of access to the NLF.

  • A profile coaches can find

    Every Team 91 Carolina player in a recruitable age group receives an IMLCA or IWLCA SportsRecruits profile and platform access, so they can search, connect and be seen.

  • People whose job is your child's list

    Two co-directors of recruiting support on the girls side and a boys recruiting coordinator with two decades of college coaching. They start the summer before sophomore year with presentations, target-list strategy and introductions.

  • Straight talk about scholarships

    Full rides are rare, awards renew annually, and Division III and Ivy League programs offer no athletic aid at all. We would rather your family hear that from us early than learn it late.

Every roster spot starts at an evaluation camp.

All players looking for spots on Team 91 Carolina must register for the evaluation camp. Both camps are at Pleasant Park in Apex, and both are split into two sessions by graduation year.

What you are committing to

Tryouts happen each summer and a player secures their spot for the entire year, through the following summer. Annual tuition covers the full-year program, and multiple payment plans are available.

How a spot is secured

Once teams are posted, register online and pay a tuition deposit. Balances must be settled in full before uniform and gear pickup in February or March.

  • Coaches who have done it here

    Our boys director, Nick Holota, is the head varsity coach at Middle Creek High School and led the Mustangs to NCHSAA 4A state championships in 2017 and 2022. He was a four-year starter and two-year captain at NC State. On the girls side, directors have coached at the Division I and high school varsity levels across Wake County.

  • An educational commitment to the game

    Field lacrosse and box lacrosse, taught together. Youth players build fundamentals and lacrosse IQ; high school players step into national competition and college exposure. It is one curriculum, not a collection of teams.

  • Practices where you already are

    Sundays plus one weeknight in the fall, moving to Sundays and a weekday in the spring — all within the Cary and Apex corridor. Schedules and updates run through TeamSnap; registration and payment plans through LeagueApps.
